The second blog I took a look at was one that was specifically for middle school teachers. He did have a post about 21st century skills and their use in the science classroom. However, he did not elaborate anymore if it had been successful. I did post a comment and hopefully I will get a response. Once I do, I will update you on it. I will also post the link below for everyone to check out.
Overall, since this is my 3rd post, I have to say that I like blogging. It is very relaxing. I get to post cool new idea's and hope that fellow educators will read about them. The comments that I have received have been great. I especially like MDunn's comment on my first post. As educator's, we need to step away from just having kids play on the computer and we really need to start teaching them how to use the computer to make things like a digital story. But first, we need to be trained on how to make digital stories, instead of learning on how to better test scores. On that note, I am signing off. It is Saturday and raining. So, I am off to relax. I hope everyone has a great weekend and for those that are on Spring Break, enjoy yourselves. You deserve it! Have a good one!!
Oops, almost forgot the other blogs! Here is the link to the first blog:

Hey There!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting your blog up and running! I love the background design. I've enjoyed reading your posts...you have a knack for writing like you're talking face to face to someone:)Seeing your About Me section completed has inspired me to go finish mine as well! Nice Work...blogging seems to come naturally to you!
Spring Break! Lucky you! We lost all of our days not only because of snow, but also because we had a murdered loose in town and then a custodian decided to smoke in the boiler room, left a cigarette there and caused a fire (it took two days to get the air quality results back). End result: Kids for three days followed by two days of (dreaded) Superintendent Conferences. As someone new to blogging, here's a tip. Just as in MS Word, you can highlight a word or phrase and make a hyperlink out of it. So when you were discussing the first blog you discovered, you could provide the title within the paragraph itself, highlight the entire title, then hyperlink to it. And I agree, Vicki Davis's blog, CoolCatTeacher has lots of great information. She's been blogging since Day 1 (or at least it seems that way! LOL)
